Here is the process for commissioning a painting:
If you have questions before ordering, contact me via the contact page on the website.
Order the painting, or paintings, in the size you wish. Grab a ruler and measure out what 3.5 x 5.5 inches, or 5.5 x 7.5 inches looks like. Think about how and where you want to display it and decide what size would be best. The order process includes a form that you will fill out, providing me with all necessary information.
I will contact you - or you may contact me - to discuss what image you would like to use for the painting. Unless you are set on a specific photo to work from, it is good to have a few to decide between. I will give you my opinion about what image might work best, but ultimately, the choice is yours.
You email me an image of the photo, and I will work from that.
The painting will be ready in 2 to 6 weeks, depending on how many other portraits I am already working on. If there is a long wait time and you need the painting ASAP, I can spend extra hours in the studio painting your commission for an extra $200 charge, and your painting will be ready in 2 weeks. Discuss this with me before ordering, if you are in a hurry.
I will send you an image of the painting when I am finished. If you do not like the painting, please speak up at this point and I will keep the painting and send you a full refund.
If you approve the painting, I will send it along to its new home!
